Dr John Gattorna, Global Supply Chain Thought Leader & Author will be presenting an exclusivethree part series for SCM World members.

The series will be split into three webinars:

1. Dynamic alignment: the new business model for enterprise supply chains

The design and operation of contemporary supply chains are mostly underpinned by a static model- "one-size-fits-all”. However, with fast-changing markets in most product/service categories, this is no longer adequate. We have to discard all the conventional methods of segmenting customers and start using something that will allow us to keep pace with these changes, and deliver meaningful responses. The dynamic alignment model is the answer because it accepts that multiple buying behaviours exist in most markets, and helps us to design and deliver the equivalent responses using an ‘outside-in ‘approach.

2.Getting under the covers: shaping the multiple subcultures required to implement a ‘multiple-alignment strategy

Most if not all transformation programmes these days focus on the ‘visible conscious' world that we see and observe. That is why there is 40-60 percent slippage in the implementation phase- personnel in the enterprise simply resist the call of the executive to deliver certain strategies. Why? Because these strategies do not align with their individual and joint values. Yet very few business leaders have recognize or acknowledge that this is going on, and continue to bluster through. We will look at the most frequently observed buying behaviours and demonstrate how it is possible to ‘genetically engineer' subcultures to power the most appropriate value propositions and corresponding strategies. As part of this treatment we will focus heavily on new organization designs.

3. New outsourcing models for the new Millennium

In this session we will critically review the full spectrum of outsourcing models available today, from conventional 3PLs, through the new extended 3PL solution being developed by Arshiya in India, to variants of 4PLs, and the more contemporary Joint Service Company (JSC) designed to aggregate capabilities to deliver industry-level solutions. The usefulness of ‘Logistics City' clusters such as Singapore and Dubai at the aggregate level will also be reviewed.
